JTB UK will co-ordinate and host a high quality “Jordan for Juniors” themed press trip for journalists with children to Jordan. The following journalists have expressed an interest to attend: Gill Smith – Sunday Mirror, national newspaper (1,374,786), Jessamy Calkin – The Telegraph, national newspaper (896,476), Alyson Cook – Luxury Travel, travel trade publication (8,009), Paul Ogden – Manchester Evening News, regional newspaper (184,144) Martin Buckley – Sunday Times Travel Magazine, consumer magazine (41,742).
27th June- 1st July

JTB UK will co-ordinate and host a high quality “Body & Soul” themed press trip for journalists to Jordan. The following journalists have expressed an interest to attend: Imagen Haddon - The Independent, national newspaper (238,756), Charlotte Bradshaw – Zest, consumer magazine (93,176), Jeremy Gates – Press Association, wire (n/a).
27th June- 1st July

JTB UK will host a combined tour operator and journalist trip to trek from Dana to Petra along old Bedouin trails. Following JTBs stand at the Adventure Travel show a number of potential new tour operators are interested in featuring this itinerary. The following journalists have expressed an interest: Anthony Lambert – The Independent, national newspaper (238,756), Mike Shallcross – Mens Health, consumer magazine (235,833).

JTB UK will run a series of 10 lectures in early June aimed at Religious Leaders in the UK to inform them of Jordan’s religious product especially Bethany Beyond the Jordan.

The online Jordan Ambassador website will be relaunched in June to include a video training section. This will allow travel agents to watch videos on Jordan and learn about all the various sites.
End of June

A second advertising campaign is planned for late spring/early summer targeting specialist magazines for the niche adventure market, specialist travel magazines and some Christian publications promoting the religious lecture series.
