JTB Wraps up its Summer Festivities
As the summer season is coming close to an end, the JTB is wrapping up its extensive summer campaign which entailed an array of activities spread around the Kingdom.
A number of private companies were supported by the JTB to encourage them organize and implement a variety of summer festivities. Adel Emam was the talk of town when he was hosted by a private company in partnership with the JTB to perform his renowned play ‘Bodyguard’ for three nights in a row. The Royal Automobile Club was also supported by the JTB to implement a variety of automobile races and rallies. JTB also sponsored the International Celebrity Sean Paul for his magnum concert that attracted over 2000 of his local fans.
The JTB was keen on developing and supporting a great variety of activities in the various governates of Jordan to encourage the tourists coming in from the GCC to spend their time outside of the capital exploring the historic and natural sites of the Kingdom.
In Salt the JTB worked with local authorities to promote weekly events ranging from folkloric dancing troops to national singers including a performance by Omar Abdallat. The events took place twice a week for two months and attracted over 3000 viewers per show.
The Romans invaded Ajloun when fully armored actors studded the historic site for photographic opportunities with tourists. And of course Jerash, home to the Romans did not rest this season with regular festivities and performances that took place on a daily basis as part of the Jerash Festival.
JTB also attempted to liven up the summer for its GCC guests by rotating two branded buses around the kingdom with live entertainment on them. Clowns and face painters rotated on the buses and in the tourist attractions to present free of charge entertainment. |
