JTB Organizes Spectacular Summer Activities

The initiative was based on a study carried out by the JTB which found the length of stay of GCC tourists reach an average of 2-3 days in the country before moving to other destinations in the region. In its attempt to prolong the stay of the GCC tourists, an array of cultural, entertainment, art, and educational activities have been planned and dispersed around the country in all its governorates and tourist attractions.

JTB has given its support to the Jerash festival which will include performances by well know regional artists such as Kathem Al Saher, Najwa Karam, Hani Shaker, among others. The program also includes the performance of the play Bodyguard by the renowned Adel Imam.

The summer activities also include a party held in Petra by the international DJ Tiesto, as well as Distant Heat which will be held for the fourth time in Wadi Rum in the end of July.

A parallel promotional campaign for all these activities has also been designed by the JTB. The JTB produced a map of Jordan and one of Amman that showcases all the activities in the different areas in an attractive layout. The map will be distributed at the borders to incoming tourists, at malls, and through a bus service which will rotate among all hotels featuring clowns and entertainment.

The JTB also arranged for a bus service to reach all the attraction areas to facilitate transportation of tourists and locals to the activities. In addition to these marketing efforts, the JTB will run a weekly insert in the local newspapers featuring the schedule of the activities for the upcoming week.
