Tour Fair Seminar III, Barcelona Uses the JTB as a Model NTB in Developing Countries

Jordan Tourism Board Marketing Coordinators, Miss Elina Taji and Mr. Saed Zawaideh were nominated by CBI (Dutch Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries) to participate in the Tour Fair Seminar III that took place in Barcelona 16-20/4/2007.

 

Jordan Tourism Board was evaluated as the most advanced Tourism Board in Marketing and Promotion outside the country by the organizers of the seminar, who used JTB’s new stand design as the role model for one of the workshops. The stand was rated best in terms of concept, eye catching ability, visualization of the product, lighting and many other aspects. Pictures of the Jordan stand were distributed on all participants. The seminar also included practical visits to Barcelona Travel Fair where the participants evaluated the stands of Exhibitors and rated them according to the main stand design aspects and lay-outs.

 

Twenty tourism boards from developing countries such as Egypt, Philippines, South Africa, Peru and others took part in training on how to organize group participation in International Tourism Exhibitions. The seminar covered a variety of topics including workshops on marketing and promotion tools, creating a tourism image of a country, international markets and tourism fairs, and developing a concept for participation.
