Airports de Paris Wins Jordan Airport Expansion Tender

Airports de Paris won the tender for the expansion of Queen Alia International Airport, the government announced. The project is estimated at around JD300 million to upgrade the airport's terminals and passenger facilities.

The French winning consortium which comprises Airports de Paris, J&P, Abu Dhabi Investment Company, Kuwaiti Noor Financial Investment Company and Jordan-based EDGO Ventures, was among five consortia that qualified for the project.

Work on the three -year project, to be implemented on the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis will commence at the end of this year.Airports de Paris will be entrusted with the operations, while J&P will be responsible for the construction works.

The Kuwaiti Noor Financial Investment Company, Jordan-based EDGO Ventures and Abu Dhabi Investment Company will be responsible for the financial operations.

Agreement to undertake the project will be signed on May 17, following formal government approval.
