Long Lines at the Airport Replaced with a Swipe

Queen Alia International Airport introduced eight new electronic gates equipped to perform the incoming or outgoing traveling procedures in a matter of seconds through the simple entry of a special card which contains all the information on a passport.

This service will only be available for Jordanian citizens initially, in the second phase of this project QAIA is planning to include foreigners to this service. The card is expected to speed up airport procedures and cut the problem of long lines as well as increase security measures.

The card needed for this procedure can be purchased for 35 JOD at special booths at the airport; the card will be active for one year and available for reprogramming/repurchasing.

QAIA is the second airport in the Arab world to introduce this advanced service after Dubai International Airport.
