20.5% Increase in Numbers of Passengers RJ Transported in February 2007

Royal Jordanian fleet transported 142,224 passengers in February 2007, marking a 20.5% increase over the number carried in the same month in 2006, when 118,000 passengers traveled aboard RJ.

RJ President/CEO Samer Majali said that the operational performance in February grew by 12.5% over the airline's estimates. The seat factor reached 66%, a good percentage when compared to the international air transport industry.

Majali commented that the first quarter will post better results than those achieved in the corresponding period last year. He also pointed out the big strides the airline made due to its improved and upgraded air and ground services, particularly since the introduction of newly manufactured Airbus A320s, A321s and Embraer 195s, and their state-of-the-art features aboard.

Passengers will enjoy new services after RJ officially joins the oneworld global airline alliance in April 1, 2007, said Majali. Particularly Royal Plus (RJ's frequent flyer program) passengers will be able to collect points from their travel on RJ and nine other international airlines members of the alliance.
