JORDAN HIGHLIGHTS
New Mosaic Floor Discovered

The department of antiquities’ office in Irbid discovered a mosaic floor in a site in “Baiyt Ras” town, northern Irbid. The flooring, which dates back to the Byzantine Era, was discovered at the preliminary excavations of old habitations dating back to the Bronze Age at the site near “Al Wehda” Dam.

Additional excavations exposed the presence of human civilizations from the Bronze period till the Ottoman periods in “Tal Zar’a” and a 2,622 squared meters plaza in Umm Qais.
