Fastlink Employees Support the National Campaign for Petra
As part of the private sector’s involvement and support of Petra’s bid to become one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and as part of the telecommunications companies' ongoing support in particular, Fastlink issued two million prepaid scratch cards, designed specifically for the campaign to encourage subscribers to vote.
The initiative is part of a comprehensive plan developed by Fastlink to support the national campaign, and is in line with the company's belief in maximizing and contributing to the country's development.
To date, the total number of votes gathered through Fastlink employees exceeded 60 thousand. The said votes portray the staff's sense of responsibility towards this nationwide initiative.
On the occasion, Fastlink's CEO Saad Nasir said that the company's support reflects its sense of national responsibility and duty towards the country. The initiative also echoes the company's belief in the importance of supporting the city's bid in becoming part of the new 7 wonders of the world. " In addition to increasing the standards of living for Jordanians, Joining the new 7 wonders will help the city attract a larger number of tourists and boost the country's overall tourism revenues and its contribution to the national GDP ", said Nasir.
Nasir noted that by becoming part of the 7 wonders, Petra will secure a place on the international map, noting that this affiliation will also help market the rose city, one of the world's archeological treasures. He also added that in order to further support the campaign; Fastlink plans to offer further support by launching an advertising campaign to promote the voting process.
