Renowned actors and celebrities from the Arab world gathered in Petra to show their support for the rose red city’s bid to become one of the New Wonders of the World, and to encourage all Arabs to vote.

The Arab celebrities were participating in “The Walk”, which is a three day conference that discusses different issues regarding filmmaking in Jordan.

The conference took place in Aqaba, and brought together renowned actors and celebrities from the Arab region in support of filmmaking in Jordan. The JTB invited the celebrities to Petra and held a press conference for them where they encouraged the citizens of the Arab world to vote for Petra and make it the pride and landmark of the region.

Participants included Mahmoud Kabil, Sumaia Khashab, Maya Nasri, Nicole Tannouri, Tamer Hukrus, and the Director Khairi Bshara, in addition to the media analyst Zavein Kumjiyan and the local celebrity Diana Karazon.

The endorsement of the celebrities is expected to have an impact on further publicizing this campaign in the region and hopefully reaping the fruit on 07-07-07 when Petra picks up the title of a World Wonder.
