The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board formed a women’s higher committee to oversee Petra’s bid to become one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. The Committee is chaired by HE Mr. Osama Dabbas and constitutes of female representatives from the banking, hotelier, communication, education, and charity associations.  

The committee met twice this month to discuss possible methods to further develop the efforts in promoting and publicizing the national campaign spearheaded by the JTB to garner support for Petra and help make it one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The JTB finds it vital to have female representatives as active participants in this national effort and looks forward to expand the realm of its campaign through the efforts of this esteemed committee. Amongst the representatives are Ms. Lorese Ahlas, Ms. Nadia Abu Judom, Ms. Randa Al Hasan, Ms. Suzanne Afanah, Ms. Lucy Aslo, Ms. Diana Tarazi, and Ms. Nawzat Kudsi.
