PETRA NEWS UPDATE

Citizens Invited to Petra

All Jordanians were invited to visit Petra for free and 5,000 citizens from across the country signed up for the trip and rallied to the lost city on Friday the 23^rd of February in support of the location's bid to become one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The Rimal Tourism and Travel Agency organized this national event in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Jordan Tourism Board.

The supporters marched from the visitor’s center to the Nabataean theatre, where Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Osama Dabbas and Minister of Culture Adel Tweisi called on them to collectively vote for Petra.
