11th– 14th Jan JTB Austria will participate with its own 20sqm stand in a Consumer Travel Fair in Vienna which targets general holiday travelers and showcases themed holidays including culture and heritage, spa and wellness, etc.
Feb JTB Austria will run an ad campaign in the leading trade magazine T.I.P. as part of the Destination Training for Jordan.

Benelux Region
Jan JTB Benelux will run an E-training with Travelution magazine targeting travel agents and product managers to increase their knowledge of Jordan as a tourist destination. After the training the participants take an exam and receive an official certificate. The incentive is that the trainees with the highest score can win a FAM trip to Jordan.
Jan JTB Benelux and FOX Reizen , (a large online direct seller) will run a special Jordan ad in ANWB Reizen magazine, which is distributed to over 3 million people.
9th – 14th Jan JTB Benelux will be participating with a 16 sqm stand at Vakantiebeurs, dubbed the Utrecht Holiday Fair, the largest consumer fair in the Benelux with over 140,000 visitors. This year there will be various themed routes for visitors to follow to view various unique destinations. One of them is the "Wonders of the World" themed route in which Petra will be promoted as one of the new cultural wonders of the world. The Dead Sea will be promoted as a natural wonder in the "Wellness route."
9th Jan JTB Benelux will organize a reception for the travel trade on the first day of the Utrecht Holiday Fair.
10th Jan JTB Benelux will participate in an exclusive Media workshop during the Utrecht Holiday Fair in which many key players in the media will attend so that JTB can inform them of the products Jordan has to offer.
Feb JTB Benelux will begin co-marketing with various tour operators to target consumers all over the Benelux region to ensure bookings for the upcoming season.
Feb JTB Benelux will send out direct e-mail to travel agents in the Netherlands and Belgium to inform the trade of the themed products Jordan offers.
8th – 12th Feb JTB Benelux is expected to participate with a 12 sqm stand at the largest consumer travel show in Belgium, Salons des Vacances, to reach approximately 95,000 visitors.

12th -15th Jan JTB France will attend Salon De La Plongee, Paris International Dive Show; the annual and major gathering event for diving.
24th -25th Jan JTB France will participate in Salon Bedouk with a stand of 24sqm.This will give the opportunity for several Jordanian DMCs to participate in this event. They will have two days to allow meeting, congress and event planners to discover new ideas for their future events. It is the meeting place for all the professionals who are planning: Conferences, Congresses, Incentives, Meetings & Conventions, Special Events, Product Launches, Staff Motivation, Training Programs, and Public events. 5 participants from Jordan have signed up to be part of this show.
Feb JTB France will run a Catalogue Audit Evaluation of all the catalogues of the TOs featuring Jordan, in order to asses Jordan's presence in the French Market, and to enable it to have a powerful start with the French TOs regarding all the promotional and marketing activities in 2007.

Nov – Jan Jordan will be featured in a promotion in the Hertz bilingual magazine which will be distributed worldwide. Hertz magazine is the rental car company’s official magazine. The Hertz Corporation, with the largest market share worldwide, has its own membership magazine in the form of a luxury travel and leisure publication called OpenRoad. This is a high profile, quarterly, well respected magazine, 112 pages, high gloss, with a three month active distribution nationwide in Germany, with a readership of approximately 150.000 - 250.000 frequent, luxury leisure and business travelers and Hertz members per quarter, including the exclusive Gold and Business Club members.
Nov – Jan A Special promotion with Edeka supermarket chain will continue to promote Jordanian dates currently being sold. A Jordan flyer is distributed with the dates.
Dec - Jan A stand alone direct mailing in cooperation with Phoenix Reisen will take place targeting over 13,000 travel agencies. The flyer will have 6 editions. The first 2 were sent out the first two weeks of December and there will be one sent out each week in January.
13th – 21st Jan JTB Germany is participating with its own stand at the CMT Consumer Trade Fair in Stuttgart.
24th – 31st Jan JTB Germany will host a Biblical familiarization trip for selected priests and Heads of Churches.
Jan JTB Germany will issue an e-newsletter targeted at consumers in cooperation with Wikinger Reisen, it will be distributed to ensure bookings for the upcoming season.
Jan – Feb JTB Germany will run a consumer ad campaign featuring the many attractions of Jordan spread out in various consumer and religious press including: Die Welt, Welt am Sonntag, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Frankfurter Sonntagszeitung, Die Zeit, and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
7th – 11th Feb JTB Germany will participate with its own stand at the Consumer Trade Fair in Hamburg.

Feb JTB Italy will run a Catalogue Audit Evaluation of all the catalogues of the TOs featuring Jordan, in order to asses Jordan's presence in the Italian Market
Feb JTB Italy will be organizing a special luncheon event “HAMMAM DAY” which will include a presentation and Dead Sea treatments dedicated to specialist spa journalists in a Spa in Milan. 10 "top" wellness/lifestyle journalists will be indulged in a spa experience using Dead Sea products; to help promote the destination through an unusual approach among high ranking press.

30th Jan- 2nd Feb JTBNA will be participating in Religious Conference Management Assn (RCMA). JTBNA will be able to increase awareness of Jordan's MICE market, and conference facilities’ (particularly Dead Sea-Madaba-BBJ triangle) among religious meeting and travel planners.
10th-11th Feb JTBNA will be participating in Adventure Travel Expo Show, a Consumer TO/TA show in Los Angeles. The aim is to increase the consumer and trade awareness on the Eco-Adventure market in Jordan.
Feb - March JTBNA plans to participate in the Spring Addison Trade Travel Show in Canada. This includes eight separate shows in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal. JTBNA will host media conferences in each city.
JTBNA in coordination with the Embassy of Jordan, Washington DC, will be organizing the EPIC News Service FAM trip to Jordan. They will produce four 30-minute segments entitled Tourism, Made in Jordan, Manufacturing, and Industry. They have guaranteed pick up for each segment by at least 300 TV Stations throughout the US and it will become a documentary for JTB’s use.

Russia
16th – 23rd Jan JTB Russia will host a familiarization trip for religious agents from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Samara. This themed FAM trip is initiated by the Pilgrimage Centre of Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow. The trip is dedicated to celebrations of Epithany Day on the river Jordan. As a continuation of cooperation of JTB and Russian Orthodox Church a training seminar will be conducted in January and February to promote Bethany among Moscow and St. Petersburg travel trade partners and agents specializing in religious and pilgrimage tours.
16th – 23rd Jan JTB Russia will host a press trip for religious mass media from Moscow and St. Petersburg; Radio and TV programs as well as Russian Orthodox Church print editions. The journalists will come to Jordan to witness the celebrations of Epithany Day on Jan. 19 on the Jordan River. TV Center news program is also expected to attend the celebrations on Jan. 19, 2006.
Jan JTB Russia will start advertising in Moscow by using the mobile platforms with 4 x 8 images of the Dead Sea and Petra. The campaign aims at attracting Russian tourists to Jordan in the period between January to March 2006. Routes for mobile transportation will include centrally located major roads (Garden Ring, Kutuzovsky prospect and Tverskaya Avenue).
20th Jan – 15th Feb JTB Russia managed to get “Vote for Petra” banners to be placed on the Russian travel related websites
10th Feb A Jordan article will be published in InterBusiness monthly publication in St. Petersburg
19th Jan & 1stFeb Jordan themed TV reports will air on the First and Kultura channels.
6th Feb JTB Russia will participate in an annual ANTOR MICE Workshop to develop the relationships with corporate agents and conference and incentive trip bookers.

31st Jan - 3rd Feb JTB Spain will participate in FITUR tourism fair with the attendance of H.E. Minister of Tourism and JTB Managing Director as well as JTB marketing staff. During the fair the TV, media and trade will be invited to the stand for meetings and a reception held in their honor.
5th -17th Feb JTB Spain will implement a print advertising campaign in selected national newspapers in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao areas to establish a good position for Jordan within the general tourism sector, tourism business sector and cultural tourism as well as the trade sector. Media options will include: El Mundo, El Pais, El Comercio, Diario Vasco, La Vanguardia and El Periodico. This campaign will go in parallel with another campaign that will start in selected national magazines to target both the consumer and the trade. Media options include: De Viajes (45,000 distribution and 153,000 readers); Clio (43,000 distribution and 114,000 readers); Emprendedores (63,000 distribution and 239,000 readers)
12th -17th Feb JTB Spain will publish advertorials in Travel Trade Magazines and will make a presence on 4 front covers plus inside reportage. Media options include: TGM & TAT, both are trade magazines distributed to all travel agencies and tour operators
19th Feb JTB Spain will run a direct mail campaign to reach 9,500 tourism outlets in Spain. Travel agents are the main points of sale to reach the general public as well as TOs
22nd Feb JTB Spain will host a lunch meeting with IB and Span Air and participating tour operators to reinitiate the charter operations to Jordan
26th Feb JTB Spain will begin advertising in specialist student magazines, the magazines are published in Madrid and Catalonia where Spain has the largest concentration of students

Switzerland
Jan A window display in the German and French-speaking parts of Switzerland will be launched in over 50 travel agencies.
Jan 12th JTB will run a Travel Inside Jordan inlay which will include detailed information on the many tourism themes Jordan offers. This will be distributed to over 16,000 travel trade members and will also be distributed to the consumers at the upcoming consumer shows.
11th–14th Jan JTB Switzerland will participate with its own 24sqm stand at the Consumer Holiday Fair in Bern with several stand partners.
25th–28th Jan JTB Switzerland will participate with its own 24sqm stand at the Consumer Holiday Fair in Zurich with several stand partners.
1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd Feb JTB Switzerland will participate with RJ and Tour Orient, the largest Arabic specialist in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in a TO/TA training workshop in Geneva, Fribourg, Sion, and Lausanne respectively. Approximately 35 travel agents are expected to be present at each location.
Feb JTB Switzerland will work with Globe TV (viewership of over 100,000 people) to produce a TV travel program on Jordan. The show will be aired on 6 regional TV channels with repeats for 1 week, a total of 118 times. The repeats will mostly be on an hourly basis to ensure market penetration. The Jordan feature will be approx. 14-17 minutes long.
2nd – 4th Feb JTB Switzerland will participate with its own 24sqm stand at the Consumer Holiday Fair in Geneva with several stand partners.
9th – 11th Feb JTB Switzerland will be joining Corps Touristique at their stand at the Consumer Holiday Fair in St. Gallen.

1st Jan – 28th Feb JTB UK will run a full color advertising campaign in key consumer, trade and online publications. Publications include The Times, Telegraph and Observer.
16th Jan. JTB UK will attend the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) ‘Meet the Media’ lunch attended by 150 journalists from key consumer and trade publications. This is a key event for journalists to draw up their travel plans for 2007 and find out what's new and what's hot for the coming year.
12th – 14th Jan JTB UK will participate in the Adventure Travel Show,London
19th – 21st Jan JTB UK will participate in the Holiday Show, Glasgow
25th – 28th Jan JTB UK will participate in Holiday World, Dublin

The shows attract approximately 50,000 - 75,000 visitors each and are held during the key holiday booking period. Matthew Teller, Author of the Rough Guide to Jordan will be on the stand at each show to assist in the promotion and give daily talks on different aspects of Jordan.
1st Jan – 28th Feb JTB UK will run the Advantage Experience promotion Campaign with the Advantage Travel Group for the whole month of January promoting Jordan in 460 Shops throughout the UK. Each travel agent will have a 2 metre high banner of Jordan and a range of material and key selling points.
Jan JTB UK will carry out a sales activity to target online agencies, cruise operators and specialist niche operators to expand the distribution network and increase yield and bed nights.
