The journey started when Ragheb Alama was 12 years old. He was first discovered in a live ”talent show” on a Lebanese radio show. Because of his talent and his youth, he was immediately recognized as the youngest upcoming”Super Star”. At 18 year old, Ragheb participated in the renowned TV talent competition “Studio El Fan”. Hr was not only talented and determined, but also charismatic,

for he immediately caught the audience attention. This granted him the Gold medal. His official debut as a celebrity was launching of his first album “Boukra Byoubrom Doulabak”. With millions of copies sold throughout the Arab world, Ragheb became an Arabic idol.

Ragheb did not only rely on his talent to reach his fans, but on good management and good selection of songwriters and composers. Hit after hit, he built a wide and strong fan base. Over the years, he released numerous hit albums, held a great number of concerts and was awarded several honorary prizes.

His reputation as the “Arab Super Star” spread to other continents: USA, Africa, Asia, Australia. His great contribution to the mass recognition of Arabic Music was attributed to the fact that he was among the first Arab Artist to produce Video Clips for his songs, which in result went on to introduce the Arabic Music to millions of International Television Viewers. Ragheb’s music repertoire to date stands at 13 albums and 24 Video Clips.
